Fred is not only a seasoned inspector but also a licensed professional, holding an Edmonds, Washington Business License #BL006801 under North Starr Inspections. Robert Burton
Introducing Robert Burton, the newest addition to the North Starr team of excellence! Before becoming an owner and inspector at North Starr, Robert worked as an insurance adjuster for residential and commercial properties for over 8 years before becoming licensed as a Home Inspector in WA State. Robert came over from a rival inspection company, where he was one of their most requested inspectors and conducted hundreds of inspections in his first year. In addition to being an incredibly thorough home inspector, Robert specializes in air quality testing, mold testing & identification, well and drinking water testing, lead and asbestos testing, and sewer scopes.
He is also an officially licensed private inspector for the City of Seattle and RRIO (Rental Registration & Inspection Ordinance Program).
Originally from Bridgeport, CT, Robert's early life was shaped by the toughness of the East Coast and the discipline of serving for almost a decade in the military and the Special Operations community. After leaving the military, he moved closer to his daughter so he could be an integral part of her life. Robert then worked in the high tech world at both Microsoft and Paul Allen's Vulcan as a software test engineer and project manager before gravitating to the home insurance industry as a licensed adjuster and then on to the home inspection world. This diverse combination of work experiences has helped him to develop an incredibly well-rounded perspective, broadened even further by his travels. All of this has helped him to become open-minded, analytical, adaptable, and always ready to tackle new challenges.
